LIC Children's Choir

LIC Children's Choir

Teaching Artist Collective is partnering with our local community center, RENEW QUEENS, to inspire the next generation through music. They aim to educate and build student's confidence through group singing and solo opportunities in a fun, positive atmosphere. The theme this year is “U.S. History Makers” for GRADES 2-6, which will highlight American figures of change including explorers, suffragettes, civil rights activists and more.

Classes will be taught with music and song, engaging kids in harmony, rhythms, and music theory. At the conclusion of our 10-week program, our choir will perform for friends and family at Renew Queens. Additionally, they will do a brief performance at the annual Queens Easter Festival at Gantry Plaza State Park on April 15th. A portion of tuition proceeds will be donated to Renew Queens for scholarships and future programming at the community center.
