Public Art in LIC

Over the years, the Long Island City Partnership has showcased public art through the LIC Arts Connection initiative (LICAC). LICAC is a multi-site community arts initiative that has built on non-traditional partnerships between public and private landlords, local businesses, employees, students, residents, and artists. The goal has been to connect LIC’s community, both physically on foot and socially through access to arts and culture. This initiative is part of LICP’s larger portfolio of work towards connecting LIC’s vibrant mixed-use community.

Are you a local artist interested in bringing your work to public spaces?

We collaborate with park concessionaires, real estate developers, and schools—ranging from K-12 to higher education—to support murals, installations, and other community-driven art projects. Whether you’re looking to contribute to an existing initiative or be considered for future opportunities, sign up here to stay connected and explore ways to collaborate.
