Pottery With No Pain: A Workshop with Occupational Therapist Maggie Strode

,

August 8 , 10:46 am

BrickHouse Ceramic Art Center presents… Clay Connections with Maggie Strode.

Clay Connections is about sharing food, information, and inspiration.

As someone who treats many creatives, Occupational Therapist Maggie Strode (OTR/L, CHT, MLD-T) often sees common issues in ceramic artists such as: neck, back, forearm, and wrist pain from wheel throwing and hand-building. “Pottery with No Pain” is a workshop which brings together the art of ceramics with strategies for injury prevention and body awareness through occupational therapy. Maggie will be covering common pain points for ceramicists and sharing simple exercises to help prevent them. Check out Maggie’s LIC based Occupational Therapy Practice, Dexterity Hand Therapy!

There will be a community potluck before the prestation.
Bring food to share and a curious mind!
