LIC Lunar New Year 2026 culminated in a Lion Dance procession along Jackson Avenue from LIC Food Hall to MoMA PS1 on Friday, February 27, at 4 p.m. The lion dance kicked off at the corner of 28th Street and 42nd Road at 4 p.m., stopped briefly in Rafferty Triangle at 4:45 p.m., and concluded at MoMA PS1 Plaza around 5:20 p.m. for closing remarks from elected officials and treats from local businesses, including Court 16, Paris Baguette, SAPPS, Soothr, and Trends.
The lion stopped in and blessed businesses along the way, including the LIC Food Hall, Red Sorghum, Aloft Long Island City, Sapps, Soothr LIC, and USWOO.
