LIC Lights Up
Friday, December 5, 5-7 p.m.
Parklet in front of 43-25 Hunter Street
LIC Partnership and the LIC Business Improvement District welcome you to celebrate the return of holiday lighting in LIC. Join your neighbors for a festive evening featuring caroling from SING LIC and hot chocolate and snacks provided by local retailers.
Bring a gift (a new toy or clothing item), and we will donate it to local children in need via The Floating Hospital.
The event is free and open to the public.

Holiday Drives & Donations

Through December 1 – NAICA operates two family shelters on Queens Blvd, right near the YMCA. They currently have a toy drive to ensure every child in their care experiences the warmth and joy of the Christmas season with a special gift.
Toy Drive with Council Member Julie Won’s Office
Through December 10 – Council Member Julie Won’s Office accepts toys for children 5-13 years old. Drop off at Council Member Julie Won’s Office (37-04 Queens Boulevard).
Saucey Pizza Bar Annual Toy Drive
December 10, 7 p.m. – Bring a toy for a child in need, and enjoy a complimentary margherita pizza from Saucey Pizza Bar (36-21 Review Ave).
Remix Market x Astoria Food Pantry Food Drive
Through December 17 – Remix Market partners with Astoria Food Pantry this holiday season to make a donation to their community pantry. Drop off at Remix Market (5-38 46th Ave).
Food Drive with Industry Gymnastics, Little Chef Little Cafe, and Otis & Finn Barbershop
Through December 20 – Industry Gymnastics, Little Chef Little Cafe, and Otis & Finn Barbershop are collecting non-perishable food items to support New Yorkers in need this holiday season. Drop off at Industry Gymnastics (502 50th Ave), Little Chef Little Cafe (543 48th Ave), or Otis & Finn Barbershop (45-22 Pearson St & 11-16 44th Ave).
No Kids Hungry Diamanté Esthetics Drive
Through December 20 – Diamanté Esthetics is accepting toys, jackets, canned goods, and baby essentials to distribute to families and individuals in need. Drop off at Diamanté Esthetics (44-02 23rd St).
Hurricane Melissa Relief Drive with the Queens Borough President’s Office
Through January 5 – Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, in partnership with the Consulate General of Jamaica in New York, is accepting donations of critically needed supplies to assist those impacted by the hurricane. Drop off at Queens Borough Hall (120-55 Queens Boulevard).
