Peter Douskalis\, Project/Music Director\, plays the laouto\, oud\, mandolin\, and guitar in the group\, switching between the proper instrument as needed for the authentic and modern orchestration of the pieces. Elena Chris\, vocalist and Artistic Director\, sings the traditional songs in the Cypriot dialect of Greek\, as well as in Turkish for songs that contain lyrics in both languages. Other instruments of the group include Alex Tasopoulos\, violin/viola\, and also vary to contrabass\, pithkiavli\, ney\, and percussion. Sounds of Cyprus is an inclusive collective that promotes diversity and positive cultural exchange\, promoting all of the Sounds of Cyprus.  \nPerformances subject to change.
