Join Hunters Point Parks Conservancy and The Blue Bus Project for a community Rip-Rap Cleanup along the Long Island City waterfront!
At our last cleanup, volunteers collected 10 bags of trash in just 90 minutes. Let’s do it again! Together, we’ll remove litter and plastic from the shoreline while learning about the impact of waste on our waterways and local wildlife.
Plastic collected during the cleanup will also contribute to The Waters Weaver, a 10-foot community-built sculpture by artist Annalisa Iadicicco/The Blue Bus Project that transforms discarded plastic into public art.
Come meet your waterfront neighbors, care for our shoreline, and be part of something bigger.
Ages 18+. Registration required.
