LIC Partnership celebrated its fifth annual Lunar New Year in LIC – the Year of the Fire Horse. Taking place from February 17 to March 3, the campaign honored Long Island City’s fast-growing Asian and Asian American community with events and promotions throughout the neighborhood, including LICP’s Neighborhood Lion Dance on Friday, February 27.

During the two-week program, local businesses and organizations – including top cultural institutions, eateries, and more – hosted 50+ Lunar New Year-themed events and promotions for residents and visitors of all ages. Experiences ranged from cultural performances to special menu offerings, and more.
Prizes such as JetBlue tickets, gift cards, free merch, and classes were raffled off throughout the celebration to those who scanned the QR codes in participating businesses and checked in.
