Come one, come all to this year’s circus-themed Halloween Harvest Festival! Join us for art and costume-making with Socrates artists, build a large-scale collaborative sculpture with Free Style Arts Association, enjoy tricks and treats from local vendors like The Queens Kickshaw and funnel cake from A Lil’ Bit of Fun, transformative face-painting with Agostino Arts, an adventure storytelling activity with The Queens Bookshop Initiative, magic with Gary the Great, and a special performance of traditional circus arts and experimental theater by Circus Amok! Urban Shaman Mama Donna will be offering harvest animal blessings for your pets, and if your pooch is in costume you can participate in a Socrates tradition- our annual Canine Costume Contest with judges and prizes from local partners like City Vet, Chateau Le Woof and Pooches Sport & Spa! 11AM-2PM – Costume and art-making workshops with Socrates artists, collaborative sculpture creation with Free Style Arts Association 11:30AM & on – Adventure storytelling activity with The Queens Bookshop Initiative 12PM-3PM – Transformative face-painting by Agostino Arts 12PM-1PM – Special circus performance from Circus Amok 1PM-2PM – Annual Canine Costume Contest with local judges & prizes 2PM-3PM – Magician Gary the Great 2PM-3v – Harvest animal blessing by Urban Shaman Mama Donna FREE.
